SB 840 (KUEHL) IS ON THE MOVE!!
PLEASE JOIN STATE SENATOR KUEHL, THE CALIFORNIA NURSES ASSOCIATION (CNA) AND OTHER HEALTH CARE ADVOCATES TO RALLY FOR ENACTMENT OF SB 840!
SB 840 (KUEHL) RALLY
WHERE: SOUTH SIDE OF THE STATE CAPITOL, SACRAMENTO DATE: WEDNESDAY,
AUGUST 30TH
TIME: 12:00 NOON
SB 840 (Kuehl), the California Health Insurance Reliability Act, (CHIRA), would provide fiscally sound, affordable health insurance coverage to all Californians, provide every Californian the right to choose his or her own physician and control health cost inflation. After SB 840 passes the legislature in the next week, it will go to Governor Schwarzenegger. No doubt it will be greeted by his gatekeepers in the insurance industry and the Chamber of Commerce. Let’s send a message of our own: its time for single payer!
For additional information, please contact Sara Rogers, Senator Kuehl’s office, at (916) 445-1353 OR, Elizabeth Ecks, California Nurses Association, at (916) 491-3217.
